It's in the box ! | Céline Erbetta
Hello dear papercrafters ! ;-) Céline with you on the blog today to put together a small gift box for a young graduate, in which will be slipped some money bills so that she can afford a nice reward ! ;-)
So that she could open it easily and often, I chose a “matchbox” format, to slide. So no need to dismantle everything to recover what is inside ;-) You are certainly familiar with this situation: you are giving a gift in a beautiful packaging and the person doesn't want to open it so as not to damage it ? Me it happens often, because I love to make gift boxes for any occasion ! Completely addicted to giftboxes! :-)
This one measures 3x4x1 inches. To start you will need a 6'x7 'white cardstock for the interior part. On the longer side, mark a fold at ½, 1 ½, 5 ½ and 6 ½. On the other, a fold at ½, 1 ½, 4 ½ and 5 ½. You get this:
Then cut the superfluous parts as shown in this shema. All that's left to do is fold and glue.
For the exterior, take a strip of patterneded paper measuring 7 ½ by 4 '. I chose the Hold on sheet for the simplicity of its design. I can then add whatever I want ! ;-)
Fold at ½, 1 ½, 4 ½ and 5 ½. Stick ... Your box is ready, all you have to do is decorate it to your liking ! Little trick, so that the drawer slides well, you can run a soap on the bottom folds ;-)
On the embellishment side, I wanted something that emphasizes graduation: I chose the little book from the cardstock stickers pack . I framed it with a Diagonal Stitched Squares die and Frame Builder: Botanical Circle flowers .
I added some Seaside blue ink stains. A fine green enamel dot and a few white Crystal Drop Nuevo dots to finish!
I hope this little step by step has enabled you to create lots of little gift boxes ! ;-)
We will soon find ourselves with new formats, do you like it ?
Have a nice day everyone !
