Mini album using Journaling Bits | Susi Becerra

Mini album using Journaling Bits | Susi Becerra

Hi everyone! Susi here on Pinkfresh Studio blog today to share with you a fun mini album I created using Let's Stay Home collection and her Journaling Bits.

For the base of this album you need 3 pieces of chipboard. The measurements are as follows:

- One piece for binding that measure 1 inch by 3 7/8 inch

- One piece for the front cover that measure 3 inch by 3 7/8 inch

- One piece for the back cover that measure 7 1/4 inch by 3 7/8 inch

I wrapped the pieces of chipboard with "Stay Home" patterned paper from the collection.

Next, I added white cardstock tabs to each tag and I used the japanese binding technique to create the mini album. I attached the tags from smallest to largest. The different, variying sizes of each page adds a depth to the album that draws the eye in.

After that, it was time for my favorite part: embellishing! I used multiple pieces from Let's Stay Home collection to do this. I used ephemera die cuts, puffy stickers, Mini Puffy Stickers Alpha, Cardstock stickers, Flair Chipboard pieces, Fabric bow and enamel dots.

On this page I used "Leafy Branch" die with white cardstock. I love the branches and leaves.

I also used the stamp set "Wild flower sketches" and coodinating dies to create this floral cluster. I love all the different textures that these pieces bring to the album.

This project was a lot fun to create! I hope you liked it.

My second Project is a layout using de same collection Let's Stay Home. I started drawing an inverted square at the base of the layout. After that I cut the diagonals of the square and I folded back the paper as you can see in the next picture.

Next, I created a soft mixed media background. I applied four colours from mini-ink pads to my background using the packaging tecnique. The colours are mint, apricot, blue jay and sweet mustard. I also added plenty of little splaters of ink with my paint brush.

Finally, I went through the ephemera die cuts, puffy stickers, cardstock stickers, flair chipboard pieces...and found yellow, Green, orange and blue bits to place tone-on-tone over the paper. I have used a little foam adhesive to add some dimension behind embellisments.

I printed my photo in black and white to make it stand out in between all those colours.

I am so happy how this scrapbook layout turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Susi
