Hello everyone! Eva here on the blog today sharing a layout created with the beautiful Fresh Start collection.

One of my favorite ways to tell a story is by using a large photo. Big photos immediately become the focal point of a layout, allowing you to keep the design simple while still making a strong impact. For this page, I used a 10 x 30 cm photo and let it take center stage.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Start by choosing a large photo and placing it vertically on the left side of your layout. For this design, I used a 10 x 30 cm photo, allowing it to become the main focal point of the page.
2. Next, fussy cut a floral strip from one of the patterned papers and place it along the edge of the photo. To add dimension and movement, adhere the flowers only in the center and gently bend the petals upward. 
3. Once your floral border is in place, create a visual balance by adding your title and journaling on the right side of the layout. This keeps the design clean while giving the photo plenty of room to shine.
4. Add a few rub-ons on top of the photo in the top left corner. 
5. Finish by adding a few embellishments and puffy stickers around the floral strip and title area. Keeping the embellishments concentrated in these sections helps guide the eye across the page without overwhelming the large photo.

Tip: Large photos are the perfect place to use rub-ons! Layer them directly onto your photo to create depth and achieve a stamped look without adding bulk. It's an easy way to blend your photo and embellishments into a cohesive design.
