SNOW GLOBE MINI ALBUM I KERSTIN SCHEIDLER

SNOW GLOBE MINI ALBUM I KERSTIN SCHEIDLER

29 Nov 2022 1 comment

Hello everyone! It's Kerstin today on the Pinkfresh Studio Scrapbook Blog and I want to share with you a wonderful project for Christmas!

I love snow globes and when I got our Christmas decorations out of the attic and my snow globes came back into my hands, I thought it would be awesome to have a mini album as a snow globe. I tried around a bit and out came THIS!

I have also thought about using my snow globe as an advent calendar. Hmmm - I still have some time to decide! I have created with the magical "Happy Holidays" collection.

Let's get started!

For the semicircle, I made a pattern and cut 4 pieces out from white cardstock. The semicircle has a width of 8 inches and a height of 5 inches. I cut out another semicircle inside. For the circle I left a border of 3/8 inch and 1 inch at the bottom.

I glued the semicircle with one of the amazing "Happy Holidays" 12 x 12 paper pack. Likewise, I covered the lower part of the semicircle with paper.

To create the snow globe effect I cut out acetate in a half circle, sprinkled it with white paint, cut it in half and glued it to the back of the half circle. To capture my memories, I folded a "witch's staircase" from white cardstock and glued it in place.

Here you can see how it looks when everything is glued together. To be able to close my snow globe, I added a ribbon.

Using the various embellishments from the "Happy Holidays" collection such as Ephemera Pack, Cardstock Stickers, Tag Ephemera, Chipboard Frames, Wood Accents and Puffy Stickers, I prepared small cards in which I can add my photos and journaling.

I also wanted something to store my snow globe mini in. The result is a small box in which I can keep the mini.

The box has a size of 4 x 3 inches. I will show you how I decorated it. I HAD to use the beautiful Snowflakes Background Stamp and Snowflakes Background Die. But see for yourself!

So the snow globe mini is well stowed!

The mini can be used for December memories as well as an Advent calendar. I hope you like this idea and I can inspire you to get creative with the beautiful "Happy Holidays" collection!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Christmas Time and see you next time! Merry Christmas!

Kerstin xx

Very nice project! I am interested to re-create this project of yours. I tried looking for the ’witch’s staircase’ online but couldn’t find a tutorial about it. Hoping you can share a tutorial on this or a link as to how to make this witch’s staircase. Thank you.
