Scrapbook Layouts with Noteworthy and Super Cool | Nathalie DeSousa
Hi there!
Nathalie with you today bringing you some scrapbooking inspiration using the beautiful and versatile Noteworthy and Super Cool collections. These new collections are filled with color, fresh designs and are so versatile that it makes it so easy to document your memories.
For my first layout, i used a new free digital cut file, Speech Bubble Frame Trio, and the Super Cool collection. You can find the cut file in the Pinkfresh Studio Fan Group on Facebook. For this layout, i shrunk the cut file, copy it, and welded the two images together to form a vertical design with them. Then cut the design from the Fun Times paper.
I used pieces from the Highlights, Brightside, Current Mood and Hashtag paper to back the empty spaces of the speech bubbles. Before setting everything in place, i used various Prime ink mini cubes ( Rise and Shine, Heartbeat, Starry Night, Island Oasis, Garden Stroll) to bring the colors of the papers to the background ( Be Right Back paper)
I treated each speech bubble frame like a small scrapbook layout and added a cluster of embellishments and enamel dots to each of the frames. A few more of the acetate speech bubbles help the complete the column design.
All the explosion of color and embellishments on the speech bubbles are the perfect complement to the fun picture of my kids. I love the little stitched pocket , it was the right fit for the picture. The following video will show you how it all comes together:
Just love how the page turned out, the colors, designs and mixed media are the ideal combination for the free digital cut file, be sure to get your free copy of it.
Now let's look at a new page created using the gorgeous Noteworthy collection and the Essentials: Ornate Banner Die Set.
The idea for the page actually came from an older layout of mine. I wanted to create a focal point on the page, and one of the easiest ways are triangles/chevrons. In this case, i used the Essentials: Ornate Banner Die Set to help me create the triangle in a fun way.
I used the Ornate Banner Die set to cut a few banners from the All the Goodness, Right Now, Just Be You, Happy Thoughts and Enchanting Blooms papers. I simply layered this to create the triangular shape at the top and bottom edges of the layout and machine stitched them in place.
The vertices of the shapes point to the center of the page, so it was easy to just back the pictures with papers, journaling spots and cut aparts from the collection. I placed the title to the left of the picture using a combination of puffy stickers and both alphas. Then used the embellishments to create a visual triangle on the page. The following video will show you how this came together:
Just love the texture the banners lend to the page, and how easy it was to put together.
I hope these have inspired you to check the new collections. They truly are a mixture of color, beauty and versatility and you are going to love them.
'Til next time!
