My heart and Lego adventures with "Super cool" and "Noteworthy" lines | Anna Komenda

Hello Pinkfresh Studio fans. It's Anna here with two, fresh from the oven pages made with two new collections: "Super cool" and "Noteworthy". On both layouts I used pictures taken during a playtime of my kids but each page has totally different style.

Let's start with "My heart" page. I made it using absolutely gorgeous "Noteworthy" collection. This line is very versatile, filled with everyday life motiffs so it's just perfect to scrapbook our daily routines, family time and other very important small moments.

I started making this page with white cardstock base and two colors of Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors: "Bubble gum" and "Lavender". With a clean dropper I made few bigger splatters and then using simple brush I added smaller ones. When the background was dry, I could proceed with my first layer - simple handmade crosses.

To make cross like this you just need to cut out strip of paper (1,5 cm) anc cut it into 6 cm sections. Glue two of them together and cross is done. You can also use stapler to add more interest to the crosses but I wanted to keep is soft and delicate. I used "All the googness" and "Enchanted blooms" papers for the crosses.

Next step was to glue down the pictures and embellish page using various types of products, like: ephemera pieces, cardstock stickers and puffy stickers. I really like how this page turned out. i had an idea in my head for a while and it looked quite similar than the outcome. Usually my ideas are far different than the final projects. I also recorded a process video for you, so you can follow my creative process:

My second page features "Super cool" collection. Do I have to tell you how much I love it? Vivid colors, fun quotations and fresh patterns are something I always value in scrappy collection. Previous page was about my younger daughter playing with magnetic sticks and this page will be about first time with "grown up" Lego bricks.

When I got "Super cool" collection paper called "Fun times" attracted my attention immediately. It was like predesigned layout already. Empty space was perfect to add photos and title. Easy peasy page. Fresh colors of this line reminded me of colors of Lego bricksso I knew what pictures I will use.

I couldn't decide on what photos to pick so I used all of them. I arranged them on the empty area and added some bits and pieces from ephemera pack to fill the spots.

I mixed in few acetate speach bubbles to add some extra texture. Blue puffy alpha stickers have a perfect size to build a title on the page.

This page came together really fast as there is no mixed media on the background, so I didn't have to wait for layers to dry. Left side was already done thanks to the pattern on the paper and I used big pictures. I love the that this page is telling. It was the first regular Lego set my kids got and they were fascinated about it. I needed to watch Maja (who was only 3 then) not to eat any brick. We builded cute puppy and some weird vehicles and houses. Few hours of fun!

That is all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you next month.

XO Anna
