Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends,
so happy to be here with you today, sharing this mixed media layout I've made. I have used the colorful Let's stay home collection for this picture of our family. As you can see this collection is also perfect for documenting other, more generic memories.
This layout started with several pieces of this new heart cutfile in different sizes, which will be availlable as a freebie soon in the Pinkfresh Studio Fan Facebookgroup. I decided to try some mixed media. I don't do that very often, just because it's easier to only craft with paper elements.
This time I went all out, with texture paste. I used one of the smaller cutfiles as a stencil. I mixed the texture paste with the watercolor Sky blue. With a spatula I scraped the paste through the cutfile. I really like the non-perfect edges on the sides.
When the background was drying, I backed one of the heart cutfiles with different papers from the collection.
To finish the layout I used the puffy stickers, ephemera and the chipboard flair.
I mixed the two puffy alpha stickers from this collection. I only used the dark blue alpha's from the mini puffy alpha stickers, to create a cohesive title.
I love how this turned out, even though I'm always a little nervous when using mixed media. Hope you'll give this technique a try and be sure to share it with us! Have a nice day and stay safe!
