Hello everyone and a big welcome back to the Pink Fresh Studio blog. I am so excited to share my newest layout for Pink Fresh Studio using the beautiful new 'Let's Stay Home' collection.

This collection was designed by the amazing Pink Fresh Studio team to help us document our experiences staying at home due to this crazy coronavirus. With captions such as 'binge watching', 'in this together', 'positive vibes', 'stay home club' this collection ticks the boxes of what most of us were and some still are living world wide.

Here in Australia we are allowed to travel again which is exciting. This layout documents my scrappy gangs first getaway since restrictions have eased.

To create this background I used the liquid watercolors sunshine, clementine and candy apple. I also added a drop or two of liquid acrylic ink in white. I began by applying clear gesso to my page and spraying it with water. The gesso acts as a barrier between the page and the watercolors. Then using a variety of paint brushes I blended the colors and moved them around the page. I also added a few splatters to help blend the color out onto the white sections of cardstock.

Then using a stunning Pink Fresh Studio exclusive cut file I created a feature running down one side of the page. By adding the mixed media to my background it help the cut file stand out.  This mandala cut file can be found in the Pink Fresh Studio Fan Group Page in the announcement section.

Then using some beautiful embellishments I created a cluster around my photo. Mixing together die cuts, journaling bits and puffy stickers creates different textures and layers on the layout and is an effect I always love to include in my layouts.

If you would like to see how this layout came together check out my process video below.

I hope my layout has inspired you to play with the liquid watercolors and document the special memories you are creating at home.

Stay Safe.

Blessings Lauren.
