Bring on the Embellishments, featuring Lets Stay Home | Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing a layout that I made with the new Lets Stay Home collection. I wanted to document our daily walks, which started because of quarantine, and this collection is perfect for that.
First, I started with some color on white cardstock. I added just a drop of Pinkfresh Studio watercolor mixed with white gesso, and used a brayer to paint on my background. I used the colors bubble gum, sapphire, and lavender.
I backed my photos with pattern paper from the 6×6 pattern paper pad, and adhered them to the layout with foam squares. Most of my paint ended up hidden behind the photos, but that's ok.
Next, I layered on a bunch of embellishments to the right and bottom of my photos. I used a tag, a puffy sticker, stickers, enamel dots, and lots of ephemera. (I added a little bit of shading to the rose with a pink Copic marker.) I also made my favorite layered heart from green pattern pattern paper, I punched some butterflies from the Better Things Are Ahead pattern paper, and I fussy cut some hearts from the Kind Hearts pattern paper. *I did add one ephemera piece from the Noteworthy collection: the cute bicycle.
The Let's Go For a Walk ephemera pieces serves as my title. I wrote out my journaling, and added the "just breathe" sentiment from the Pinkfresh Studio You’ve Got This stamp set with blue jay ink pad.
To balance all the heaviness from the bottom of my layout, I added a scallop paper strip that I trimmed from the You Are Stronger pattern paper, and a floral ephemera piece. I added machine stitching to the paper strip, and to my punched butterflies.
I love all the layered embellishments, and really love how this layout turned out. I hope you love it too! Thanks for stopping by, and have a happy day!
