Just a little lovely Inspirations | Jana Maiwald-McCarthy
Hi everyone, Jana here with you and i am SO excited to share my first DT projects with you. I am working with JUST A LITTLE LOVELY today and i have two Layouts for you. My first one is all about coloring, fussy cutting and my little one (who is not that little anymore...)
I really love the B side of the "One fine day" paper and i decided to color some of the pretty flowers to create my own elements. I added a thin coat of clear gesso to the paper, grabbed four liquid watercolors (Lavender, Bubble Gum, Sunshine and Clementine) and started to color some of the flowers.
Once they were dry i fussy cut them out, also added some black and white ones. The background paper "Hope" is pretty as it is but i wanted to bring in some more color. I added white gesso on the left side and two liquid watercolors (Sky Blue and Lavender).
I layered the flowers with some thread pretty close around the picture. I found a cute matching Cardstock phrase stickers, a blue epoxy sticker from the Mixed embellishment pack and some other bits and pieces from that pretty collection which i all added to the flowers around the photo.
My title is a font mix, created with the pretty puffy sticker words and the mini puffy alphas. My final touches were some stitching over the little alpha stickers and some gold enamel dots. I really love how this Layout turned out!
My second layout is all about the cooler tones in the collection and some happy dudes on the very last day of school... time is running!!
I created this project on white cardstock, but i wanted to add a big main focus to it. I grabbed the pretty "Around here" paper and cut out the word YES from the B side. I placed it in the middle from the carstock and added some liquid watercolor splatters on two little areas.
Did you know that the backside from the Gold foiled accetate flowers are silver? I just found out and i really love how that is looking... i added some of them around the letters and the picture. I also wanted to bring in some black and white flowers, which i found in the ephemera pack!
I played with all of the pretty stickers and DieCuts, added more and more things behind, on top and between the giant letters. I used some matching thread for a different texture and some pops of color.
I mixed the fonts for my title again and the final little touches were some enamel dots. I really love how versatile this Collection is!!
I hope you´re inspired to use "just a little lovely" for your next projects!
