Holiday Vibes using Oh What Fun by Vicki Parker

Holiday Vibes using Oh What Fun by Vicki Parker

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today and I am sharing my very first layout using the Christmas collection - Oh What Fun which is available now at your favourite retailer.

I started by cutting strips from the reverse of the Snow Globe paper to create a Christmas tree shape. Once I was happy with the position, I made some pencil marks on my background cardstock and gessoed the whole page. Using the Sky Blue and Aquamarine liquid watercolours, I created a loose triangle shape to match the tree. I then put the paper strips back on the page and sewed them with my sewing machine.

I then splattered the page using watered down white acrylic paint to look like snow. My idea was for my photo be be one of the gifts under the tree, so I cut out some boxes from the Christmas Gifts paper and layered them together with my photo at the bottom of the tree.

I cut out some baubles from the Good Tidings cut apart paper along with the 'sparkle and shine' title.
I cut out a sentiment from one of the tags in the die cuts and put that above my photo. I also added in some puffy and chipboard stickers, and more die cuts to embellish.
Finally, I put a puffy sticker as the star at the top of the tree and one of the puffy phrases for my title and some of the ever gorgeous Essential Jewels Mix for some bling! You can check out my full process video on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel. I hope it gives you some inspiration - I loved making this layout, Vicki x
