Handmade Folded Paper Elements on a Layout | Eva Pizarro

Hello everyone! It's Eva here on the blog and I am super excited to share my first project using the fantastic Legendary Collection. For this project, I decided to add a lot of texture by creasing my paper. I also limited myself to two colors (blue and yellow) with a few hints of green and this made the creative process very fast!
This collection is modern and has gorgeous colors and designs, perfect for masculine layouts and everyday photos.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cut (2) 1.5" strips of paper in both the blue and yellow papers. 
2. Using a scoring board, score the paper every 1/4" and bend it as an accordion.
3. Glue the two pieces of paper together to create one long strip of accordion paper.
4. Use a hot glue gun and a scrap piece of paper to create almost a pinwheel shape. The shape should be 3/4 of a circle with a long paper strip hanging of the circle (imagine a long b shape).
5. Glue one of the pinwheels to the page and arrange the other on top, with the long strip in the opposite direction.
6. Add your picture (in the cellphone shape), some die cuts and some fussy-cut elements from the patterned papers. 
7. Finish the layout with some chipboard shapes and the title.

I really hope you like this project! Try it out with different color combinations and maybe try rotate the piwheels and see if you come up with a new sketch!
