Handmade Calendar | Susi Becerra
Hello Pinkfresh Studio friends! Happy New Year! It's Susi here today sharing with you my very first project of the year. It's a new year and what better to start it than a gorgeous handmade calendar on your desk?
We're going to use the beautiful "Built on Dreams" stamp set, the coordinating dies and layering stencils! Soo cute!
First off, print the calendar. In Pinterest you can find free printable monthly calendars.. Now, we're going to create our calendar.
COVER AND BACK COVER
We need thick white cardstock and we're going to cut eight pieces using Built on dreams die ( 4 pieces for the cover and 4 for the back cover).
Stamp the house on one of the die-cut pieces using evergreen ink cube. Next, we're going to use the layering stencils. The inks used are;
Ballet Slipper, Mint, Misty Coast and Evergreen.
Finally, glue the four pieces one on top of the other. Repeat all the process to create the back cover. IMPORTANT: The layering stencils must be used back to front.
THE STAND
To make the stand you need two die-cut pieces and one piece of 3 5/8 x 2 1/2 inches cardstock.
Score on the 2 1/2 side at 1/2 and 2 inches and join the die-cut pieces to the tabs.
PAGES
To create the pages I mixed collections from Pinkfresh Studio. I used the gorgeous Happy Blooms collection, The Best day and Holiday Magic collections.
I cut six pages using the Built on dreams die. Next, I added the month printed and embellishments.
To create the numbers I used the Heather Lowercase Die Set .
To join the calendar I used a binding machine. You can also use rings.
I hope you liked it and inspires you! I really enjoyed creating this calendar. Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!
See you next time!
