A Cozy Hexagon Patchwork Layout with Crafted Moments | Susi Becerra

Hello crafty friends! Susi here, back in the Pinkfresh Studio blog sharing a new 12 x 12 scrapbook layout created using the beautiful Crafted Moments collection. The starting point for this project was the patterned paper of the same name, Crafted Moments, and its charming hexagonal design. These cozy patchwork- style shapes immediately inspired me to create a soft, colorful and geometric background full of texture.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the hexagon frame. Start by cutting out all the inner hexagons from the Crafted Moments patterned paper. Remove every interior shape carefully so that you are left with the outer hexagon frame only. This creates a beautiful patchwork window effect that will be the foundation of your layout.
2. Arrange the background composition. Once the frame is ready, place it over your 12 x 12 white cardstock and begin filling the empty hexagon spaces with a selection of the hexagon shapes.
3. Add stitched details. Stitch around of the hexagons using coordinating thread colors. The hand stitching adds warmth and dimension and enhances the handmade feel of the crafter moments aesthetic.
4. Build the floral clusters. Use Floral Ephemera to create layered floral clusters around your photo. Tuck some florals behind the photo and let others overlap the edges for a natural look.
5. Add the title and decorative elements . Create your title using the Puffy Alphas and word stickers from the collection. Add small embellishments, bees, labels..to tie the clusters together.
