Using Basic Shapes To Add Interest To Your Card Design | Dana Kirby

Hi friends! It's Dana here today and I am sharing a crd that uses the gorgeous Tranquil Water Lilies die and stencil set. My card also includes the Single Stitch Rectangle die that I die cut from the center of my card panel to create depth and interest.

Here's how you can create this card:

1. Create your card panel by lightly blending your panel with Waterfall ink.

2. Use the Tranquil Water Lilies stencils to add the water details to your panel.

• Stencil 1: Waterfall (light blend)
• Stencils 2: Waterfall (heavier blend)

3. Splatter a few water drops onto your panel for added interest. 

4. Use the Single Stitch Rectangle die to die cut a rectangle from the center of your panel. 

5. Die cut three other rectangles from white cardstock and stack them behind the ink blended rectangle to add dimension. 

6. Attach your card panel to an A2 card base and inset your rectangle back into the opening to finish your card panel.

7. Use the Tranquil Water Lilies stencils to stencil your water lily flowers and water lily pads.

• Stencil 1: Citron, Waterfall 
• Stencil 2: Peony
• Stencil 3. Cherry Blossom
• Stencil 4: Lemon Whip
• Stencil 5: Sweet Mustard

8. Die cut the stenciled images with the Tranquil Water Lilies die.

9. Use the Beautiful Soul set to stamp and die cut your sentiment.

10. Attach your water lilies and sentiment to your card panel with foam adhesive.

11. Add a few Iridescent dew drops to your card panel for a finishing touch.
