Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday! It's Kathleen back here with you and today I wanted to share a fun shaker card I created with the Message in a Bottle product suite.
I recently created a set of two cards (one more "masculine" and one "feminine") on the Pinkfresh Studio channel with this product suite and combined it with the Embroidery Hoops dies, as well as some bits and pieces that were left over from other projects.
If youâre not familiar, we go live on our YouTube channel every Tuesday at noon CT for a fun, 60-minute cardmaking sessionâcomplete with amazing inspiration, lively chat, and of course, giveaways! So don't miss out!

If you want to see how the card on the left came together, you can watch the YouTube Live replay below:
After I was done with these two cards, I still had some left-overs that I wanted to put to good use. That's how this card came to be:

Let's see how you can recreate it:
- Cut and score an A2 side-folding card base from white cardstock & place horizontally before you.
- With a 1" blending brush, blend Lemon Whip, Peach Fuzz, and Cherry Blossom from top to bottom to create your background.
- Die cut the Starry Scallops coverplate die from an A2 panel of white cardstock. Place it vertically in your paper trimmer & trim off 4 1/2 rows of circles.
- Adhere this piece with foam adhesive to the lower half of the card base.
- Die cut the smaller Embroidery Hoops die (4) times from white cardstock. Die cut the screws from gold mirror cardstock.
- Stack (3) of the embroidery hoops together. Back these with a piece of white cardstock.
- Ink blend Marigold ink on 4th die cut, starting at the bottom and fading to white at the top. Back this piece with acetate.
- Attach one of the screws to the back of the stacked up hoops.
- Hot foil the "Sending you Sunshine" sentiment from the Coastal Paradise press plate, and the Message in a Bottle illustrations in Satin Gold on white cardstock.
- Die cut the sentiment & stack with two blank die cuts.
- Ink blend the Message in a Bottle illustrations using the coordinating stencils:
- Stencil 1: Peach Fuzz & Cherry Blossom
- Stencil 2: Cherry Blossom
- Stencil 3: Warm Buff (cork), Ballet Slipper (scroll), Lemon Whip (sails)
- Stencil 4: Cherry Blossom (bottle neck), Peony (details)
- Stencil 5: Sunkissed
- Die cut using the coordinating dies.
- Adhere one of the bottles inside the stacked up embroidery hoop (step 6), and fill with sequins and/or glitter.
- Adhere ink-blended piece with acetate on top to close the shaker.
- Adhere assembled embroidery hoop centered onto the card base using foam adhesive. Add two layers of foam adhesive to even out upper half.
- Adhere hot foiled sentiment slightly overlapping the embroidery hoop.
- Embellish to your liking using Jewels or Glitter Drops. I used Jewels in Peach Fuzz.

I this shaker card idea inspires you and that you check out the replay of the YouTube live session if you missed it. I think it's fun to see new products combined with some from past releases or great staples from our stash, and I hope you enjoyed it too!
We always love seeing what you create, so please make sure to tag us on social media when you post a project inspired by this!
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
