A modern card design with two-tone ink blending | Stephanie Guse

1. Cut and fold an A2 side-folding card base from white cardstock.
2. Use the Swan Reverie press plate to hoil foil an A2-size panel of white cardstock with Cobalt Blue hot foil.
3. Use the coordinating stencils to ink blend the following:
   • Stencil 1 Slumber into Sky Blue (Sky Blue only for swans)
   • Stencil 2 Wisteria
   • Stencil 3 Wisteria into Candy Violet
   • Stencil 4 Lavender into Candy Violet into Candy Apple
   • Stencil 5 Sapphire into Candy Apple
4. Stamp the “Sending comfort, care, & calm” greeting from the Flower Market stamp set on white cardstock with embossing ink and heat set wth white embossing powder.
5. Die cut the greeting with the coordinating die, then ink blend the entire die cut with Sapphire ink.
6. Adhere the sentiment with foam adhesive to your ink-blended background.
7. Adhere Clear Drops: Sky Blue for added shine.
8. Attach the entire A2 ink-blended panel to the card base to complete the card.

This card came together so quickly and would be perfect to recreate again and again using different color palettes. In some areas, I kept the ink blending simple with two tones of blue, while in others I experimented with analogous colours, like blending purple into red. You could easily take this idea even further—try a three-color gradient, or play with seasonal and holiday-inspired color combinations.
