Give Your Stash New Life with Homespun with Heart | Kathleen Schmelz

Hi, Pinkfresh Studio fans! It’s Kathleen here again and today I have a card for you combining products from the new Homespun with Heart release with some older products - a perfect way to refresh your stash and getting more use out of those products you've had for a while!

A big part of this new release is the The Stitch Edit line-up and it has so many good elements! Make sure to check out the release intro video to see all the products up close. At the end of the video I also shared some products from past releases that combine perfectly with this one!

Here's how to make this card:

1. Card Base & Panels: 
   1. Cut (1) side-folding card base from light gray cardstock (Alternative: ink blend white cardstock with Misty Coast) & (2) A2 panels from white cardstock.
   2. Stamp "With Love" from The Stitch Edit: Heartmade Details stamp in the lower-left corner of the card front with Rocky Slope.
2. The Stitch Edit Elements + Doily:
   1. Ink blend the The Stitch Edit: Large Spool stencils on (1) A2 panel with Warm Buff and Doe ink. Then die cut with the coordinating die & set aside.
   2. On one half of the other A2 panel, ink blend the scissors from The Stitch Edit: Maker's Essentials stencil using Warm Buff (blade) and Citron (handle). Die cut with the coordinating die & set aside.
   3. From the remaining half, die cut (3) The Stitch Edit: Heritage Lace dies (one wide & two thin). Ink blend one thin lace die cut with Sparkling Rose, and the other with Ballet Slipper.
   4. Die cut the two large Decorative Circles dies from a piece of white cardstock. Optional: stamp a floral stamp in Misty Coast onto the doily for a bit of added interest.
3. Assembly: 
   1. Adhere the doily to the card front, allowing it to slightly hang over the right edge.
   2. Wrap the lace die cuts around the large spool, securing the ends on the back.
   3. Tie a piece of string through the hole at the top and finish with a bow.
   4. Adhere the assembled spool on top of the doily using foam adhesive.
   5. Add the scissors on top, then embellish the spool with the small heart die cut.
4. Embellishing: Embellish the card to your liking, using Metallic Pearls in Matte Gold.
