Bloomsmith Florals with a Soft Peach Twist | Stephanie Guse

Hi crafters, it’s Steph here again, and I’m back with another card project to share! Today I’m using the brand new Bloomsmith Florals die set, and I am obsessed! The etched detail in these florals is so pretty, I knew right away this card was going to be all about letting that detail shine.

Whenever I start a card, the first thing I think about is colour—and this time, it was peach. Peach Fuzz was my starting point, and I love how peach can lean warm or cool depending on the shades you pair it with. For this card, I explored both warm and cool color combinations that complement peach. Shades like Ballet Slipper, Mango Sorbet, and Begonia worked beautifully with my base colour, keeping the overall look soft and light. Let’s dive in, and I’ll show you how this card came together.

1. Cut and fold an A2 side-folding cardbase from white cardstock.

2. Cut three A2 panels of white cardstock.

3. Ink-blend the first panel with Peach Fuzz and Ballet Slipper inks. Die-cut the entire panel with the Petal Mosaic coverplate.

4. Create a frame for the card by die-cutting the largest die from the Essentials: Notched Corner Frame die set into the same panel.

5. Use the coordinating stencils to ink-blend the following on additional cardstock panels:

• Stencil 1 Peach Fuzz (Mango Sorbet and Begonia for small flower shading)
• Stencil 2 Cherry Blossom (Begonia and Bubble Gum for shading)
• Stencil 3 Begonia
• Stencil 4 Key Lime, Olive (Doe for small leaves)

6. Create an additional set of small florals using stencil 1

7. Create an additional small floral (top left corner) using stencil 2 & 3.

8. Create an additional small leaf stem using stencil 4

9. Hot-foil “You’re so thoughtful” greeting from Cottage Frames Press Plate set, using gold foil. Die-cut greeting with coordinating die.

10. Attach the Petal Mosaic frame to the cardbase using liquid adhesive.

11. Attach the floral die-cut elements to the card as shown in the photos using liquid adhesive and foam adhesive for added dimension.

12. Adhere the gold foil sentiment to the card front as shown on the finished card.

13. Adhere Metallic Gold Pearls to complete the card.
