Stenciling and Ink Blending with Peony Perfection Stamps | Rachel Alvarado

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel here with an A2 sized card that showcases the beautiful Peony Perfection Stamp Set, coordinating stencils, and die set.

I was inspired to create my card by a spring color palette and gorgeous bouquet of peonies that I recently saw.

How to recreate this card:

1.  To create your florals, first stamp them onto a piece of white card stock (I used Neenah Solar White 110lb) with Detail Black Ink.

2.  Use the coordinating stencils, Pinkfresh Studio Inks, and brushes to add color to your images. 

TIP: If coloring separate floral colors, make sure to cover the other flowers with some low tack tape when ink blending so that the different colors don't overlap.

• Stencil 1: Sage
• Stencil 2: Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Tidal Pond, and Sunshine
• Stencil 3: Spruce Tips
• Stencil 4: Sparkling Rose, Lemon Whip, and Peach Fuzz
• Stencil 5: Bubblegum, Marigold, and Clementine
• Stencil 6: Sparkling Rose

3.  Die cut your florals with the coordinating Peony Perfection Dies

4.  Trim a piece of light teal/blue card stock to 4" x 5.25" and lightly blend the lower left corner of it with some Ocean Breeze Ink.  Work your way up toward the top right corner while fading the ink out so that it doesn't cover the entire piece.  Add some diluted white ink spatters if you desire.

5.  Trim a piece of darker teal card stock to 4.25" x 11" and score/fold at 5.5" to create a top folding A2 card base. 

6.  Add your ink-blended piece to your card base with double-sided adhesive tape.

7.  Die cut a white scalloped frame using the Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set and adhere it on top of your ink-blended piece so that it outlines it.

8.  Stamp your sentiment (I used one from the Flowers for the Soul Stamp Set) with black ink onto the top right corner of your card (inside the scalloped frame).

9.  Lastly, add your florals with dimensional foam tape to allow the images to pop up a bit from your card base.
