Floral Layered Dimension with Blooming Grace | Kathleen Schmelz

Hey there, Kathleen here! Today, I’ve got two beautiful cards to share with you. One of them was created during a recent YouTube Live session (you can catch the replay and watch how it all came together), and the other is the star of today’s blog post, where I’ll guide you through the step-by-step process to recreate it yourself.

Both cards feature dimensional, floral designs that are sure to inspire your next crafty project. I used the gorgeous Blooming Grace product suite, paired with the stunning Leafy Lattice, to create my card. 🌼💗 Let’s dive into the details and bring these cards to life together!

After I was done, I had some of the ink-blended floral pieces left over and wanted to put them to good use. That's how the second card came to be.

So let's see how to create this one:

1. Create a side-folding A2 card base from light pink cardstock.
2. Hot foil the Leafy Lattice press plate onto white cardstock with gold foil, then die cut using the coordinating die. Keep the white center piece.
3. Adhere the largest die-cut piece from the Leafy Lattice to the card base using foam adhesive.
4. Assuming you didn't already create the other card & you don't have "leftovers", you now need to create the floral elements: Stamp the Blooming Grace stamp with Detail Black ink onto white cardstock. Then ink blend using the coordinating layering stencils & the following colors: Grassy Knoll & Fresh Pear (Greenery), Lemon Whip, Sunshine, Peach Fuzz, Cherry Blossom, Sheer Freesia, Wisteria.
5. Die cut using the coordinating dies.
6. Adhere the largest floral cluster to the center of the card.
7. Adhere the white center piece from the Leafy Lattice on top of the floral cluster using foam adhesive.
8. Heat emboss the "You brightened my day" sentiment with gold embossing powder on white cardstock. Die cut with the coordinating dies. Ink blend Sheer Freesia on top.
9. Adhere the sentiment centered on the card.
10. Embellish to yor liking using jewels, gems, or glitter drops. I used the Iridescent Clear Drops on my card.
