Stenciling and Ink Blending with Blushing Blooms | Dana Kirby

Hi friends! It's Dana here today and I am excited to be sharing a card that uses the beautiful Blushing Blooms set for my inspiration. This set is perfect for so many occasion and I know it is a set I will be reaching for often.

Here's how you can create this card:

1. Cut and score an A2 side-folding card base from white cardstock.

2. Use the Charming Stitched Florals Coverplate die to create your card panel.

3. Stamp the floral images with the Blushing Blooms stamp set (two times) with black ink onto a separate piece of white cardstock. 

4. Ink blend the florals and foliage using the coordinating stencils. 

• Stencil 1: Cherry Blossom, Sheer Freesia (florals)
• Stencil 2: Peony, Wisteria (floral detail)
• Stencil 3: Grassy Knoll, Limoncello (leaves)
• Stencil 4:  Grassy Knoll, Limoncello (leaves; heavier blend), Marigold, Sunshine (floral centers)

5. Die cut using the coordinating dies.

6. Use the Blushing Blooms set to stamp and die cut your sentiment.

7. Use the Blanket Stitched Octagon die set to die cut two octagon panels. 

8. Ink blend the smaller panel with Grassy Knoll ink. 

9. Add your octagon frames to your card panel with foam adhesive. 

10. Attach your floral images and sentiment to your panel with foam adhesive to finish your card.

Quick Tip: You can easily switch up the colors of the floral elements or change the sentiment to match a different occasion!
