A Playful Sewing-Themed Thank You Card | Stephanie Guse

Hello crafty friends!

Steph here with another cardmaking project for all of you. I'm excited to revisit The Stitch Edit suite and to create a sewing-inspired card with all of you today. 

I had sew (pun absolutely intended!) much fun with these products when they were first released that I ended up making several thread spools in different colour combinations. This pink and teal set got tucked away for future card projects, and I'm so happy I saved them because they were the perfect starting point for this pretty thank-you card.

How to create this card:

• Cut and fold an A2 side-folding card base from white cardstock.
• Cut an A2 panel from white cardstock and die cut it using the Stitched Basket Weave Coverplate. 
• Adhere the panel to the card base using liquid adhesive.

The Stitch Edit: Thread Spool Florals

• Stamp the Stitch Edit: Thread Spool Florals onto white cardstock using Tidal Pond ink. 
• Use the coordinating stencils to ink blend:
  • Stencil 1: Passion Fruit (small flowers) and Bubble Gum (large flowers)
  • Stencil 2: Tidal Pond 
• Die cut out the Thread Spools using the coordinating dies.

The Stitch Edit: Notion Story

• Use The Stitch Edit: Notion Story stencils to ink blend the thread spool elements:
  • Stencil 1:
    • Peach Fuzz and Passion Fruit on the edges (top left thread square) 
      
    • Bubble Gum (middle left thread square)
    • Ballet Slipper (bottom left thread square)
    • Bubble Gum and Candy Apple (right thread square)
  • Stencil 2: Apricot (largest round buttons)
• Use the coordinating dies to die-cut these elements.
• Use liquid adhesive to adhere the ink-blended thread die cuts to the Thread Spool Florals.
• Use foam adhesive to adhere the three buttons to two of the Thread Spool Florals. 
• Use The Stitch Edit: Notion Story die to die cut two sewing needles from silver matte metallic cardstock. 
• Use liquid adhesive to attach the needles to two Thread Spool Florals. 
• Stamp the "thank you for holding everything together" sentiment from The Stitch Edit: Thread Spool Florals stamp set onto white cardstock using Detail Black ink. 
• Die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. 
• Adhere the sentiment to one of the Thread Spool Florals using liquid adhesive. 
• Adhere the completed Thread Spool Florals to the card front using foam adhesive. 
• Adhere Clear Drops: Ice to finish the card.
