Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a whimsical “Holiday” inspiration card with a glimmering/abstract/geometric look made using the just released, Holiday Ornaments Stencil and Holiday Ornaments Die from the newest Holiday-2021 Release, to create the ornaments and sentiment. Along with this beautiful set, I’ve also used Abstract Triangles Hot Foil Plate to add the glimmering abstract background and Metallic Pearls -Gold. And last but not least, PFS- Inks to add a pop of color to the branch, ornaments and to the sentiment as well. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started off by placing down an A2 size white card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion, and as soon as I got it onto place, I went ahead to line up over it the stencil #1 from Holiday Ornaments Stencil. Next, after I had them both line up, I went ahead to start off the ink up for the ornaments, so to do that, I went ahead to get the right and left ornament ink up using a ink blending brush along with Ballet Slipper Ink.

Thus, as soon as I got the card panel inked up using stencil #1 along with pink ink, I quickly went ahead to wiped off the ink from the stencil with a dry towel, so I could be able to ink up the center ornament with a different ink color without mixing both colors, as I was going to use Ocean Breeze Ink.

Having that said, as soon as I’ve had finished the ink blending for all ornaments, I went ahead to continue the ink blending using stencil #2 to ink up the ornament caps and strings using a combination of Marigold Ink and Clementine Ink to create a gold looking color ink. Once, I had that step completed, I went ahead to add the detailed layer to the ornaments using stencil #3 along with embossing ink, to add some gold heat embossing powder over the sticky surface created from the embossing ink not only to add color but some texture as well.

Moving on, after I had finished adding the detailed layer to the ornaments, I went ahead to line up stencil #4 over the card panel to get the inking done for the branch using a combination of Warm Buff Ink and Mint Ink to achieve a muted sage green to compliment the subtle colors of the ornaments. Then, at the same time, I used as well a combination of Ballet Slipper Ink and Warm Buff Ink to achieve a muted dusty-pink or rose gold if you will, to ink up the sentiment which is also located in the bottom of the stencil.

Therefore, as soon as I’ve had finished the ink blending over the card panel, I went ahead to line up over it its coordinating die which happen to be Holiday Ornaments Die, and then right after that, I went ahead to run them through my die cut machine to die-cut them out of from the card panel. Taking the advantage that this is a one die piece, I went ahead to get more die-cutting pieces out of plain white cardstock. Lastly, I went ahead to stack the die-cutting pieces to create dimension and then, I went ahead to set them off aside, so I could start the card assembling.

As for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim down a bit smaller than the card base an abstract foil stamped card panel which, I’ve had gotten foil stamping using Abstract Triangles Hot Foil Plate and of course my hot foil stamping platform. Having that said, I proceeded to mount with craft foam adhesive the background panel to an A2 top folding white card base to add a bit of dimension. Then, I glued down the stacked branch on the top of the card panel followed by the ornaments which I had them glued down (as shown in the image above.) Last but not least, I mounted the staked sentiment with craft foam adhesives to add more dimension and then, to finish the card off, I glued down a Metallic Pearls -Gold in the center of the middle ornament to add an extra pop of shine.
