Holiday Card with a Non-Holiday Floral Wreath

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a happy pastel holiday card that brings a soft, whimsical twist to Christmas crafting! This card features the beautiful floral elements from the Bloomscape product suite from our November Release! With the coordinating die that cuts out all the individual floral images, it’s easy to build custom arrangements. To enhance the holiday feel, I paired the pastel florals with a playful background created using the Christmas Lights coverplate die and stencils and embellished the wreath with Ruby Glitter Drops as ornaments.

Here is how I made the card.

1. Stamp the Bloomscape image onto a white panel using Detail Black ink.
2. Stencil the image using a pastels color palette:
   - Stencil 1 (Leaves): Grassy Knoll, Olive
   - Stencil 2 (Leaves): Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine
   - Stencil 3 (Flowers): Apricot, Mango Sorbet
   - Stencil 4 (Flowers): Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum
   - Stencil 5 (Flowers): Lavender, Waterfall plus Marigold for the flower centers
3. Die cut the images using the coordinating die.
4. Stencil the Christmas Lights background onto a white cardbase using Sparkling Rose, Marigold, Mango Sorbet, Soft Lilac, Grassy Knoll and Waterfall.
5. Cut a white panel with the Christmas Lights coverplate die and adhere it to the cardbase.
6. Arrange the Bloomscape florals into a wreath, secure them temporarily with Press’n Seal, then add foam tape to the back and adhere the wreath to the center of the card.
7. Press the holiday sentiment from the Shelf Edit: Magic of the Season Press Plate in black, die cut it, and stack it with four additional die cut layers for dimension.
8. Cut a banner from red cardstock and another from Glacier Glitter Cardstock using the Basic Banners die.
9. Add the banners and the sentiment to the center of the wreath.
10. Finish by scattering Ruby Glitter Drops on the wreath as ornaments.

I love how this wreath, created with non-holiday florals and soft pastel colors, takes on a distinctly Christmas feel with just a few thoughtful details ! The red banner and glittering embellishments tie everything together and show how versatile these floral images can be throughout the year.
