Holiday Card featuring Lush Peonies | TaeEun Yoo
Hi, Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a holiday card featuring Lush Peonies stamp set. I used the traditional holiday color scheme, red-green, to give some holiday feeling to the card with the peony cluster.
To start I heat embossed the Lush Peonies in Liquid Platinum. I colored the image using the coordinating layering stencil. I colored the large peonies in red and the small flowers in orange and some of them in red. The layers of the red flowers were stenciled in Passion Fruit and Berrylicious and the orange flowers in Sweet Mustard, Marigold and Clementine. The leaves were colored in Key Lime and Olive.
After stenciling I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
For the background I created a red-orange-yellow ombre panel by ink blending a white panel using the same colors I used to stencil the Lush Peonies. To add subtle texture to the background I hot foiled the panel using Chevron Hot Foil Plate in Icicle.
I splattered white opaque watercolor on the top of the panel and let it dry.
I mounted the background panel flat on a red cardbase, foam mounted the Lush Peonies image on it and cut off the excess. The sentiment is from Perfect Sentiments Holiday set. I hot foiled it in gold and cut it using the coordinating die. I added some Metallic Gold Pearls on the center of the large flowers and scattered some of them on the card to finish it off.
That’s it from me for today. I wanted to make a holiday card using one of the beautiful floral sets from the latest release and I love how it turned out!
Hope you enjoyed looking my card too!
Thanks for stopping by!
