Fruitalicious Fun Fold Inspiration Card┃Yasmin Diaz

Fruitalicious Fun Fold Inspiration Card┃Yasmin Diaz

Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin, here sharing another fun fold inspiration card with a “Fruitalicious” look using the Fruitalicious Washi and Fruitalicious Die to add the fruity touch. Also, to make this card, I used Foiled Sentiments 5, Lush Vines Hot Foil, Rounded & Braided Rectangle Die, and Glitter Drops: Leaf to add the hot foil and embellishing touches. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I unrolled the Fruitalicious Washi, and once I got that done, I got the backing of the washi tape adhered to a large piece of white cardstock. Then, I used the Fruitalicious Die alongside the die-cut machine to get the die-cutting process for the die-cut pieces. So, as soon as I got the die-cutting process completed, I put them aside to create the fun fold card base.

Next, I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock using the paper trimmer to H 5-1/4 x W 11.0 inches and once I got that done, I placed the cardstock piece over the scoreboard tool with the longer side horizontally to get some scoring lines traced over the cardstock.

So, as soon as I had the cardstock piece placed over the scoreboard tool, I used the point of the Teflon bone folder to trace the first scoring line over at 1-3/4 and 3-1/2 inches. Then, I flipped the cardstock piece over to the other side to repeat the scoring lines at the same point marks. After I had finished adding the scoring lines over each side of the cardstock piece, I folded each side on a mountain fold, and following that, I brought each side to the center of the card base.

Moving on, after adding the fun fold effect to the white card base, I proceeded to add a little contrast by adding a little green frame, so to do that, I got trimmed down two A2 size green panels, and then I got the backside of the fun fold white card base glued to one of the green panels.

Nevertheless, after getting the backside of the fun fold white card base glued to the green panel, I got the front of the fun folds fully close, and then I added liquid glue to the front part of the left fold. Next, after adding the liquid glue to the fold, I got the backside of the other green card panel over it.

Thus, after adding the green contrast to the fun fold card base, I added a glimmering touch using a touch of hot foil stamping. As for the hot foil stamping, I used the Lush Vines Hot Foil plate alongside white cardstock, the Glimmer Hot Foil System, and the Glimmer Hot Foil Roll-Polished Brass

Since the width of the folds is 1-3/4 x 5-1/4, I got the hot foil stamped card panel trimmed down in two pieces with the following measurements 1-1/2 x 5.0 inches. Then, I opened the left side of the fun fold card base to get one of the hot foil-stamped pieces over the inner backside of the fold.

To continue the fun-fold card base assembling, I completely folded the right side of the card base to add the second hot foil stamped piece adhered to the right fold.

So, after I got the fun-fold card base assembling done, I used the medium-size dies included in the Rounded & Braided Rectangle Die set along with white cardstock and the die-cut machine to die-cut the detailed and rounded frame. That said, after getting the die-cutting process done for the frame, I continued to get the backside adhered to a smaller white card panel. Then, to continue with the card base assembling, I got the backing of the layered card panel glued with liquid glue to the front part of the fun fold card base.

In the image above, you can see the detailed die-cutting edge of the frame.

So, after adding the layered panel to the fun fold card base, I added dimension to the big die-cutting image that I already had die-cut at the beginning of the blog post. Then, I got the backing of the dimensional die-cutting piece mounted with craft foam adhesives to the front part of the card. And last but not least, I also used one of the foiled sentiments from the Foiled Sentiments 5 pack to use it as the card sentiment.

In the image above, you can see how I got mounted the foiled sentiment over the right side of the card, and also you can see how glittery the Glitter Drops: Leaf look.

The following image is for you to see how much dimension and interaction the fun fold adds up to the card from a side view.

Also, in the image above you can see how the card looks from an upper view.
