Artistic Magnolias | TaeEun Yoo
Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today! I have a simple card with an uplifting sentiment to share! It features the Artistic Magnolias stamp and die set from the March Washi release. I no line watercolored the Artistic Magnolias and took a large floral cluster from it to make it into a blooming tree on a hill.
I stamped the Artistic Magnolias image in Peach Fuzz and watercolored the flowers and leaves in a loose way. I mainly used pink for the flowers and added a bit of orange to them. After watercoloring I cut the images using the coordinating die.
Next I started working on the background - the sky and the hills in mint color. I masked the thin border of an A2 sized white panel and ink blended the top part of it softly in Mint. After I removed the masking tape I cut the panel using the Dotted Scallops coverplate die and adhered it on a white cardbase.
I hot foiled a white cardstock using three Nested Arches Hot Foil plates in Pastel Mint and cut them with the Nested Arches dies to make the hills. I foam mounted the hills on the card as shown in the picture.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped it in two tones. I stamped it first in Olive and stamped it again this time inking it only the bottom part in Detail Black. I cut the sentiment using the coordinating die and attached it on the card. I placed a large image from the watercolored Artistic Magnolias on a hill using foam adhesive.
Lastly I finished off the card with five Aqua Glitter Drops.
That’s it from me for today! I hope you enjoyed looking my card!
Wishing you all a lovely week !
