Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the last week of the year. It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of floral cards featuring some new stencils from our December release.

Card 1- Hanging Garden

The first card is showcasing the Hanging Garden layered stencil. This set includes five stencils; two flower layers and three leafy layers.

To start off  I stenciled the flowers of the Hanging Garden stencil image; the large flowers in Bubble Gum, Coral Reef and Raspberry Bliss, small flowers in Sunshine and Marigold. I then applied the embossing ink on the flowers to clear heat emboss them.

I then watercolored the background in Lavender, Bubble Gum and Candy Apple liquid watercolors and after the panel was dry I stenciled three layers with the leaves in Grassy Knoll, Aquamarine and Stargazer.

I cut the panel using the Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. I felt like that the panel was too flat, so I decided to stencil the large flowers on a separate piece of white cardstock and  to add the fussy cut flowers using foam tape.

The die cut sentiment “you” was cut using the Thank you die. I cut it three times from some white cardstock, layered together and colored top of it in R20 Copic marker. “AMAZE ME” is a part of  a sentiment from You Make a Difference set. I stamped it in Stargazer. I covered the die cut “you” with Shimmer Pico embellisher to add shine and scattered some clear Jewels to finish off the card.

Card 2- Enchanting Meadows

The second card is showing the Enchanting Meadows layered stencil and the coordinating die along with the Diamond Plaid stencil.

I started off by die cutting white cardstock using Enchanting Meadows coordinating die. I stenciled the image after die cutting the paper to make it easy to align. I used two shades of the same color family to stencil two Enchanting Meadows images. The light one was stenciled in Ocean Breeze, Fresh Pear, Misty Coast, Coral Reef and Sunshine / the darker one in Seaside, Olive, Metropolis, Passion Fruit and Sunshine

To create the background I used the Diamond Plaid stencil set. I used Sky Blue with one layer (Stencil 2) and Ballet Slipper and Coral Reef with the other layer (Stencil 1) of the Diamond Plaid.  I inked the panel in an ombre fashion making the left top corner slightly brighter. It’s hard to see in the photo but I also dry embossed the panel with the Stencil 1. I cut the panel using the Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.

Next I added the light image first and the darker image on top of it using some foam tape as shown in the picture. The sentiment is from You Can Change the World set. I white heat embossed it on a piece of gray cardstock and cut it with a hexagon die from Basic Label Frames die set. I cut a larger hexagon from some vellum and taped it on the back of the gray hexagon piece. I added it to the card with a swirl of silver thread and finished off the card with some light blue Jewels.

That’s it from me today! This was my last post for this year. I want to say huge thanks to all of you for the love and support!

Let's hope and pray that 2021 is more normal than 2020!

Sending hugs,

TaeEun
