Tips for Creating Soft Romantic Floral Cards | Debby van Diepen

Hello friends! Debby here, sharing a romantic floral card featuring the beautiful Floral Daydream set from the Daydream Edit release. The florals are perfectly designed for corner arrangements, and that’s exactly where my inspiration began.

I paired these gorgeous blooms with the Bloomlight Stitches cover plate die and the fun Dotted Postage Square die set. You know I can’t resist lots of layers and foam tape for added dimension and detail! I had so much fun creating this card, and I hope you love it too!

How to recreate this card:

1. Create a 4.25" x 6" side-folding card base from white cardstock.
2. Trim a panel of soft pink cardstock to the same size & adhere it to the card front.
3. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 3.75" x 5.5", die cut it with the Bloomlight Stitches coverplate die and adhere it centered to the card front using foam adhesive.
4. Die cut the third-largest Dotted Postage Square die twice from white cardstock & ink the edges of each die cut with Raspberry Bliss.
5. Stamp the Floral Daydream image on white cardstock in Detail Black. Heat set or let dry completely before ink blending with the coordinating stencils:
   1. Stencil 1: Fresh Pear, Sparkling Rose
   2. Stencil 2: Fresh Pear, Evergreen, Sparkling Rose
   3. Stencil 3: Sparkling Rose (only flower part)
   4. Stencils 4+5: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Raspberry Bliss
   5. Stencil 6: Raspberry Bliss (light-handed)
6. Die cut with the coordinating die.
7. Stamp "Sending love" in Detail Black, die cut & stack with (2) blank pieces.
8. Stamp a secondary sentiment on one of the postage square die cuts in Detail Black.
9. Arrange both postage square die cuts on the card front & adhere with foam adhesive.
10. Add the ink-blended flowers on top using foam adhesive, and add some of the leaves peeking out from behind the postage squares.
11. Embellish with Clear Drops: Ice.

Have you ever tried adding a little bit of pink ink blending to your leaves? It really adds to the soft, romantic feel of this card, don't you think?

Another tip: If you’re anything like me and not a splatter pro, try using a metal ball stylus (flower-shaping tool) to create faux splatters. Just dip the rounded end into the ink, then dab it onto the cardstock for an easy splatter effect.
