Creating a 3D Floral Shadow Box Card with Blushing Blooms | TaeEun Yoo

Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral shadow box card! I adore shadow boxes with beautiful bouquets, and when I saw the Shadow Box Frame die from the latest Release, I immediately envisioned creating one with a pretty floral arrangement!

For the floral part, I used the Blushing Blooms stamp set. I kept the flowers and background soft and light, then contrasted them with a dark navy shadow box frame.

Here's how I put it together:

1. Heat emboss the Blushing Blooms images in gold on white cardstock.
2. Stencil the images with the coordinating stencil set, using following ink colors:
   - Flowers 1st layer: Cherry Blossom, Marigold
   - Flowers 2nd layer: Sparkling Rose, Sunkissed
   - Leaves 1st layer: Citron, Grassy Knoll
   - Leaves 2nd layer: Spanish Moss
3. Die cut the floral images using the coordinating die.
4. Ink blend the center of a white A2 panel with Coral Reef and Apricot, die cut it with the Evergreen Sparkle coverplate die, and adhere it to a white cardbase.
5. Create the Shadow Box Frame from dark navy cardstock and adhere it to the card.
6. Arrange the flowers in layers using foam tape to add dimension.
7. Hot foil the sentiment from the Blushing Blooms Press Plate set in gold and die cut it.
8. Cut a strip from transparent acetate, fold it to the height of the shadow box frame, and use it as a mat for the sentiment.
9. Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the shadow box.
10. Embellish the background with a few Ballet Slipper Jewels for a delicate finishing touch.

Tip: When creating shadow box cards, layering your elements with plenty of foam tape really enhances the depth and dimension of your scene. To achieve the best effect, build the design in layers so that the tallest elements reach the full height of the shadow box frame. This way, your card has a realistic, three-dimensional look that really stands out.
