Happy Monday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a fun “Color Blocked’’ inspiration card made using the latest; Essentials Stitched Scallop Circle Die Set and Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set along with this fun sets, I’ve also used Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Perfect Sentiments Die to create the foiled sentiments plus, Garden Wreath Die Set to create the subtle die-cutting half wreath. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started off by die-cutting the scalloped frames so to do that first, I started by lining up the largest die from Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set over a large piece of light pink cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my die-cut machine. Next, I repeated the same step to die-cut another large-scalloped frame using the same die but this time out of a darker pink color cardstock.

Thus, as soon as I had each large-scalloped frame die-cut it out of the light and darker pink color cardstock, I went ahead to line up the smaller scalloped frame from the set to die cut it once out of peach color cardstock and once out of light orange color cardstock. So, after having all die-cutting scalloped pieces completed, I went ahead to repeat the same steps but this time to die-cut each piece out gold cardstock and having that said, as soon as I had that step done, I went ahead to create a slightly gold shadow to each of them by layering over each die-cutting colored scalloped frame to each die-cutting gold frame.

So, right after that I had finished the previous step, I went ahead to start the color blocking for the card panel so to do that, I went ahead to adhered down the outer light pink scalloped frame to an A2 white card panel using craft foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension. Next, I went ahead to adhere down the inner scalloped dark pink frame using craft foam adhesive but this time I doubled up to add a bit more dimension. And, so on and so forth I adhered down the smaller outer peach and inner orange scalloped frame to the card panel using craft foam adhesive as well to create a continuous dimensional color blocking design.

The Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set also works perfectly with Essentials Stitched Scallop Circle Die Set if you pair together to create even more dimension. So, I decided to use the smaller die from the latest Essentials Stitched Scallop Circle Die Set to die-cut 2 smaller scallop circle frames out of light yellow-green color cardstock and light teal color cardstock. Therefore, after I had both die-cutting scallop circle frames, I went ahead to continue the dimension over the card panel in the same way as I did for the previous frame using craft foam adhesive.

Moving on, as soon as I had the frame mounted over the card panel, I went ahead to adhere down the card panel to an A2 top folding white card base using double-sided tape and once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to create a half wreath over the left side of the scallop frame using a few greenery die-cutting pieces which I’ve had previously created using some of the dies from Garden Wreath Die Set and translucent vellum. Nevertheless, besides adding the half wreath to the scalloped frame, I also went ahead to add a pre-made artistic bow which I’ve had previously created out of translucent vellum using one of the dies from Artistic Bows Die Set.

Lastly, I went ahead to mount with square foam adhesives in the center of the scalloped frame a foiled sentiment which I created using Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Perfect Sentiments Die along with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass, Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the foiling process. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue jewels from Essentials: Jewel Mix in the colors Jewels: Peach Fuzz and Jewels: Sunshine to add a pop of shine to it!
