A Little Something To Brighten Your Day

Hello and welcome! It's Kelly here today with a bright, sunshine-y card to lift someone's spirits! I've been doing a lot of seasonal crafting lately ('tis the season, right?), but sometimes it's nice (and necessary) to create something more "everyday", like birthday, sympathy, and thinking of you! I used a lot of the new release products on this card as well as the beautiful stencils from the release before!
I've been dying to use the new Essentials: Slim Stitches die with all of it's gorgeous texture and detail. I love stitching and sewing, so this one is right up my alley! I die cut EVERYTHING in white and then used inks to color/stencil all of the different pieces. The background has Marigold and Clementine ink blending and the Essentials: Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle is inked in Clementine ink only.
I've loved seeing a few of the designers use the stencils only with these gorgeous Floral Notes Stencils and coordinating die. I couldn't wait to try it myself and I love how it turned out! I added one of the sentiments included in the Floral Notes stamp set directly over the top of the stenciled die cut using black ink.
I layered everything up onto background, using the Essentials: Diagonal Stitched circles as a grounding piece for the floral portion. I added a bit of ink splatter for some added detail and a few jewels to finish it off! Thanks for joining me today!
