Hello Pinkfresh Studio friends! It's Susi here again on the Pinkfresh Studio blog. Today I'm sharing a festive and interactive mini album created with the beautiful Very Merry Christmas collection. For this project, I'm also using one of my favorite dies- the Mini Slimline Envelope Die-, perfect for creating pockets, pages, and sweet hidden spaces for memories.

Step -by- Step Instructions 

1. Create the album structure. For the cover and back cover, cut two pieces of chipboard measuring 7"x 4". For the spine, cut a chipboard piece measuring 1 3/4" x 4".
2. Cover the structure. Choose two patterned papers from the Very Merry Christmas collection to cover the front, back and spine. Remember to add the ribbons for the album closure BEFORE pasting the papers. This will secure them inside the structure.
3. Add the flaps. Use only the top part of the Mini Slimline Envelope die to create flaps. Adhere these flaps to the inside of the front and back covers, after attaching the closure ribbons.
4. Create the pages. Using the Mini Slimline Envelope Die, cut six envelopes from your favorite papers in the collection. Mix and match designs you love to give your album a playful, festive look.
5. Prepare the tabs for binding. To attach the pages (envelopes) to the spine, use the bottom part of the Mini Slimline Envelope Die to create tabs. These tabs will act as connectors when adhering the envelopes to the structure.
6. Assemble the pages. Attach each envelope to the binding tabs, and then glue the tabs onto the inside of the spine. Now your mini album has beautifully structured envelope pages ready to fill!
7. Decorate the album. This is the fun part! Decorate the cover and each page using all the gorgeous embellishments from the collection - Puffy Stickers, Ephemera, Chipboard Pieces, Cardstock Stickers, Wood Stars, and Enamel Shapes.

Each envelope can hold photos, journaling, or little Christmas memories.

Quick tip

Add foam adhesive behind your decorative elements to create dimension and shadows.

For another idea, try mixing vellum or acetate inside the envelopes . You can turn one of them into a charming shaker pocket!
