Travel page with "Super cool" line and sweet layout with "My favorite story" | Anna Komenda

Hello Pinkfresh Studio fans. It's Anna here with my first post on this blog. I have to be honest with you - I feel a little bit intimidated with my debut. I have been a big fan of PFS products for a long time and I loved seeing what DT girls are doing with the collections and now I am a DT girl myself! Dreams do come true. For today's post I prepared two layouts with two brand new collections: "Super cool" and "My favorite story".

First layout is about our trip to London and visiting M&M's Store. As you can imagine, it was a like a heaven for my kids :) Strong and vivid colors of the pictures inspired me to use them with "Super cool" collection. It's a perfect line for all the teenager themed pages but it also carry a little travel vibe so I decided to use it this way.

Pretty paper with polaroid frames is very inspiring and I am sure we will see it being used as a background of many pages. My initial idea was to add photos on top of the frames without cutting them out, but they are just too colorful and got lost between all those colors. I decided to cut out few frames and build a grid design.

Colorful elements need calm background so I painted one for myslef using liquid watercolor "Sky blue". I used foam tape to add dimension to my project. You can find one layer under the polaroid frames and second one under the pictures. Third layer is created with stickers and other elements.

Alphabet dies are very handy when it comes to creating titles on the layouts. I just love "Adore" set with the bold, thick letters. It's so easy to glue them down using foam and they are big enough to be easily visible. Combining two or more different fonts and sizes of letters help you create more complex titles without using too much space. Use bigger font for more important words and smaller one for the rest of the phrase. This is what I did on this page by adding smaller word with mini puffy alpha stickers.

This page came together really fast and it gathers all the things I love - vivid colors, watercolor, messy background and treasured memories. If you want to learn how it was made, you can follow my process video:

My second page was made with another new line called "My favorite story". When I was walking through all the papers and embellishments I got inspired by the great paper called "Best chapter". I knew I wanted to play with embellishments and place them color on color over those triangles.

I printed few photos of my daughter eating bun with blue berries. In Poland they are called "jagodzianka" (hint for where the title comes from) and we bake them in summer from freshly picked in the forest berries. As you can see on the photos, they so tasty that you eat them with your whole face :)

Angles of my composition were determined by the cross on the paper. I used them to place the pictures and other embellishments trying to keep all of them parallel to the lines. Different shapes of elements I used make the composition dynamic.

With such a variety of embellishments it was so easy to pick the ones only in two colors - pink and yellow. Different materials they are made of added great texture to the page. I especially love cardstock stickers because of their matte finish. They are such a great quality.

Busy upper part of the page is contrasted with white, empty space under the photos and it highlights the picture even more. Pretty white puffy alpha stickers look so elegant thanks to the tiny, gold foiled marks. Separate package of flower ephera is such a great idea, because flowers are the elements I usually use up first. And I bet most of you too.

That is all for today. I hope my pages inspired you to reach for me collections. They are totally worth diving into.

Thank you for stopping by and see you next motnh.

Anna
