Challenge #7: Watercolor & Mixed Media with Anett
Hey Pinkfresh Friends! Are you ready for a new challenge?
Maybe you already know that my favorite medium is watercolor. I love Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolors. That is why my challenge is: USE WATERCOLOR ON YOUR LAYOUT! It is up to you how you use it! Just splatter some watercolors in the background, paint some loose strokes, create some embellishments, or you can come up with you own creative ideas!
I created this layout using the back and white striped paper (Favorite Story) from My Favorite Story collection. I cut some frames with the Ornate Oval Frame stand alone die. The yellow is Happy Thoughts paper and the blue is Right Now paper, both from Noteworthy collection. The other two are simple white and black cardstock. I cut 4 more pieces from white cardstock and glued them under the patterned ones, to make it thicker.
I painted some watercolor ovals with Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolor. Slightly bigger than the frame. I made the paper wet first and put some paint drops in it. The paint spreads in the water, creating lovely texture. After drying I cut it with the die and used the inner oval piece to fill the frames, as their background. I adhered the frames to the watercolor background using foam adhesive. I loves the idea to use the striped paper for the background of the black frame, and the white is for the photo of my lovely, angry girl LOL
The embellishments are mixed from the three new PFS collections. I used the tone on tone technique, that you cannot go wrong with.
