November Challenge Using the Oh Joy! Collection with Adrienne Alvis

01 Nov 2016 0 Comments

Hi Pinkfresh fans! I'm happy to be hosting the challenge for this month and using the gorgeous and festive new holiday collection, Oh Joy!, for my project.

But1st of all winner of October challenge.

Winner for October challenge is Anita Bownds and here is her layout that she created for October challenge. Congratulations ! Please email us at info@pinkfreshstudio.com to claim your prize. :)

And now coming back to recipe challenge.

The holiday season is quickly approaching and that usually means we get busier and our calendars fill up fast. We also spend more time with our friends and family, we do more shopping, and (if you're like me) we do more cooking and baking for those we love. So this month's challenge is geared towards saving you time and energy...it's a recipe challenge!

That means that you have to create a project using these 5 ingredients...

1. Use at least 3 patterned papers.

2. Use at least 2 different fonts for your title.

3. Use something gold.

4. Include three circular elements on your page.

5. Utilize a punch or cut file element.

Here's what I came up with using the Oh Joy! collection and this little recipe...

I started by choosing a piece of patterned paper from the Oh Joy! collection and layering two more patterned paper pieces on it from the 6x6 paper pad. I cut apart one of the journaling cards from the gold foil acetate 12x12 sheet and placed it next to my photo which is "something gold" and also one of my circular elements. As you can see below, I used the gold foil alphabet stickers and one of the acetate die cuts from the collection for my title which utilizes two fonts.

I added a gold foil doily from my stash as another circular element from the recipe and placed a few gold foil phrase stickers (also circles) around my page as well. I also used a snowflake punch to create a few larger snowflakes for my page and accented them with some gold enamel dots. I placed a few of the puffy star stickers around the snowflakes for added dimension.

I also have a process video for this layout to get your creative juices flowing so be sure and check it out!

To participate in the challenge, make sure your project contains the 5 ingredients from the recipe and link your projects by clicking the blue button below by the end of November. One lucky winner will receive a goody bag full of Pinkfresh Studio products! The winner will be announced on December 1st, so good luck to everyone!

*Please note that your are not required to use Pinkfresh Studio products, but you will get extra credit if you do! And you can link any paper crafting project, for example, a card, scrapbook layout, pocket page spread, etc. You may also link more than one project.
