Color love - 2 projects using Indigo Hills

Color love - 2 projects using Indigo Hills

Hi everyone!  It's Kim here to share a few fun things with you. I've had a little time to play with the Indigo Hills collection and I think the colors are right up my alley!  For the last few months I've been totally obsessed with all shades of lavender and the collection has just the right amount of pink, pale blues and greys, and this pretty vivid violet color!

I painted this first layout using a pretty purple inky color and faded it towards the bottoms of the page to create and ombré effect.  Then I used my silhouette to cut lots of butterflies from some of papers. I fussy cut lots of other flowers as well.

It was truly a fun page to create and fulfilled my love of making messes with paint.  The white splatters were created using a very opaque white ink. Just taking a small brush and throwing it on the page.

Another project I created involved lots and lots of glitter!  I love to buy little canvases to explore a little bit with.  I painted little 6 x 6 canvas with a nice navy color, about half of it, and then covered it with a thin layer of glue and sprinkled with lots of blue glitter.  Once done you can embellish and add all kinds of fun things.

I added a few butterflies, worded papers cuts and a small photo.  After the glue Is dry try to shake it off as much as possible to avoid too much  of a mess!

Have a great day everyone and Happy Crafting!
