My Real Life Journal | Celes Gonzalo
Hello lovely crafters! How are you today? I'm so HAPPY to be here... because we are going to create with one of the NEW Pinkfresh Studio collections. Have you seen Life Right Now and Happy Heart? Both of them are so beautiful! You can't imagine how happy I feel to be able to create with them :)
For my first project we are going to use the Life Right Now Collection. We are going to create this amazing journal mixing handmade notebooks and an internal accordion structure.
Structure: you will need 7 pieces of cardboard of: 1- two pieces 4 3/4" w x 8 1/2" h, 2- five pieces 3/8" w x 8 1/2" h. Choose three design papers from "Life Right Now" Paper Pack (12 x 12 Paper Pack ) to cover both covers and the spine of the structure. For the spine: glue all five carboard pieces leaving between them a distance equal to the thickness of the cardboard you are using. You will see that it takes the rounded shape.
Once everything is ready, glue all pieces together to form the structure. Remember to add the ribbons for the mini album closure before pasting the interior paper. As a detail you will see that I added the ribbons with some wide eyelets on the back cover.
Spine: you have to place eyelets for the elastic cord and an extra one for the hanging detail. The distance between the eyelets will determine the height of the inner handmade notebooks.
Cover: I use the beautiful paper #141122 Happy Place and the Real Life Cut File from Pinkfresh Studio. I cut some windows and the word "Real". For the "Real" word I cut and glue in layers 3 pieces. I also added vellum on the back.
I glued the windows using 3d foam and I complete the name of my journal using the lovely Puffy Alpha Stickers, some pieces from the Chipboard Frames and Chipboard Flair.
Using the paper #141622 "With the Flow" I made a small roof for my little house and I made a detail on the edge using a border punch. And as final detail I added some Enamel Dots and one piece from the Ephemera Pack.
Interior: I made 3 handmade notebooks and one accordion structure.
For the notebooks: remember that the the distance between the eyelets will determine the height. In my case, I cut two design papers of 9" w x 7" h (score at 4 1/2" w). And added 10 pages to them.
For the extra notebook: I cut one design paper of 9" w x 8" h (score at 4 1/2" w). And added 10 pages to it. I also prepared a pocket for inside back cover. Remember to leave 1/4 "thick in the pocket where we will place the notebook.
Once you have all the notebooks ready, you can decorate all the covers giving each one a purpose.
For the accordion structure: you need to cut 4 pieces of white cardstock of 4 1/4" w x 8 1/2" h (score at 1/2" h). Glue all the pieces together to form the accordion and cut an extra piece of ribbon (glue it at the back of the last piece).
You can choose different design papers from the paper pack and decorate all the accordion. Also, you can use Puffy Stickers, Chipboard Flair, Ephemera Pack and everything you want to decorate it.
When you finish decorating, you must glue it inside the structure.
We have already finished! We have a nice idea to document the most special of our life at home. Whether with family, friends or doing what we like the most.
I hope you like it ;) and thanks so much for stopping by!
See you next time! :)
