Merry Christmas | Home for the Holidays | Jana Maiwald-McCarthy

Hi there, Jana back again and i have two new layout for you today. I grabbed some CutFiles from the PinkfreshStudio Shop and the Home for the Holidays Collection... I really love to play with both, so many possibilities

My first layout is about me and the love for the holiday season...

Merry Christmas

I started with the "pine bough square cut file" and white cardstock. I re-sized the file and cut off the square. I wanted to use the branches as single pieces for my layering elements. I decided to work on the pretty blue patterned paper and i really love how the white is looking on top of it.

I also decided to go with yellow, green and blue tones here. My picture is black & white and i love the contrast. I layered a lot of different things around my picture. I added some extra sparkle with the cute selfmade snow globe. I added some white sequins and some paper stars.
I stitched around the circle and love the texture and the look...

I mounted my picture on that pretty mustard yellow patterned paper and some dark green thread were placed behind some of the white branches and elements. The light blue is such a nice addition to the other colors, right?!

I added a tiny cluster to the upper right corner with the same colors and the same branches. I am so in love with this layout and it makes me happy!

My second layout is about some new christmas decorations... some gnomes with giant long hats, a big nose and very long beards...

I started with the beautiful Holiday wreath CutFile and some Inks. I backed the open leaves with one of the patterned papers. The splatters were created with the new Ink Cube set Heartbeat and one of the liquid watercolors "BubbleGum"

I stitched the wreath down, added some 3D squares under the leaves and created some instant shadow and dimension. I layered tissue paper and a patterned paper under my picture.

I added enamel dots, wood buttons and other little details close around my picture. Some punched stars were also scattered around the layout.

I really had fun with these projects and i really can´t wait for christmas! I love this time so much

Thanks for stopping by today
Jana
