Repeating Colors & Layers for a Back-to-School Layout

Today I'm sharing a new layout using the gorgeous Fresh Start collection. I also wanted to take this opportunity to participate in this month's theme: Again & Again which can be interpreted in several ways: repeating shapes, colors, a sentiment, etc. I chose the color palette from the Challenge: Regal Kiss, Soft Lilac, Eucalyptus, Sky Blue, Sapphire.

STEP BY STEP:

1-Create the background. First, we punch holes along the outline of the design we want to embroider. Next, we choose the 5 colors from the collection's palette and embroider the background.These stitched paths create movement and guide the eye toward the central cluster. The texture adds quiet dimension without overwhelming the page.

2-Build the Scene. Now we use embellishments, fussy‑cut florals, leaves, and small icons from the collection. Instead of placing them flat, shape each piece slightly and layer them with foam adhesive to create soft volume. The goal is to build a Back to School scene full of color... using this month's Challenge color palette.

3-Create a good Title. The beautiful puffy alphabet from the collection helps us create the most appropriate title so that the composition makes sense and has a clear purpose. Once the scene was ready, we add the photo.

4-Add the final details. Finally, we use tiny enamel dots, and die cuts to complete the composition. We finish this layout by adding a sentiment from the Rub-ons set to emphasize the page's message.
