Frame Magic | Days of Splendor | Lauren Hender
Hello everyone and a big welcome back to the Pink Fresh Studio blog. Today I am sharing with you a layout all about frames. I always admire all these wonderful layouts out there that have used frames in creative ways and when I saw the Days of Splendor patterned paper filled with stunning frames I thought to myself 'I am giving a frames layout a go'.
I have had this lovely family photo ready to scrapbook for sometime now and I knew the colors would match perfectly if I pulled out and fussy cut from the frames patterned paper all the green, purple, grey and tan tones from the collection. Sometimes it can be difficult trying to match paper colors with color photos but I was lucky today as we all seemed to dress in colors that worked.
I began by mounting my photo and placing out all the frames trying to spread the colors out evenly across the page and allowing room to add embellishments onto and around the frames.
I then was thinking of my title. In the collection there is a beautiful pattered piece of paper called 'Grateful heart' which is filled with sentiments perfect for fussy cutting. I cut three and positioned them around my photo as my titles.
Using the ephemera pack, the enamel dots and the pretty fabric bows, and my personal favourite the puffy stickers, I set about embellishing my layout. The wonderful thing about using frames for your layout is that you can just take your time and embellish each little frame and it all comes together especially when you have all the beautiful coordinating embellishments in the collection.

I hope my layout has inspired you to have a go at creating with frames using the new Days of Splendor collection.
