Color Inspiration Using Let's Stay Home Erica Thompson

Color Inspiration Using Let's Stay Home Erica Thompson

06 Jun 2020 0 Comments

Hey friends! Erica here with you today to share two new layouts with you using the beautiful Let's Stay Home collection. I created both layouts using the Better Things Are Ahead pattern paper. One page uses the 12x12 paper and one uses the 6x6 paper.

My first layout was so fun to create and inspired by this beautiful Pinkfresh Studio cut file that you can find in the PInkfresh Studio Facebook Group! I used the Let's Stay Home 6x6 paper pad to back some of the pieces of this cut file. I really wanted to create colorful layouts and add in some Pinkfresh Studio watercolor!

I cut the cutfile out twice to layer it up and give it a little dimension and interest. I added a few die cuts and stickers to the right of the photo trying to find some items that had a lot of rainbow color.

For my title I used the Let's Stay Home mini alpha and placed it along the top wings of the butterfly cut file from Pinkfresh Studio.

For my second layout I used the Better Things Are Ahead paper in the 12x12 size and some Pinkfresh Studio watercolors

I started with my background and used the colors Candy Apple, Clementine, Sunshine, Emerald City and Sky Blue. I cut out a bunch of stars in various sizes using the Better Things Are Ahead paper. I cut my photo out using a circle die cut and used the stars all around my photo.

I tucked in some thread in coordinating colors and some floral puffy stickers and some florals that I fussy cut out. I added my title to the photo using the Let's Stay Home mini puffy stickers that are so darn cute!

I added in some enamel dots from Let's Stay Home, My Favorite Story and Super cool around the page. It adds a different texture to the page along with the threads!

I used the same watercolors on this page as I did on the first one. I love that you just need a little bit of the color and it is so vibrant! Make sure to stop by the Pinkfresh Studio shop to check out all the colors! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you found some inspiration here today! Have a wonderful day!
