Christmas Daily Mini Album | Celes Gonzalo
Hello everyone! I'm Celes from Argentina and today I'm so happy to share with you my first project with "Holiday Magic" collection. The most wonderful time of the year... and I can hear the music ;) I love creating for this time of year... it's my favorite! Shall we start doing this project?
My first idea is a mini album... a very special Christmas Daily to keep everyday memories until christmas comes. To make this project we are going to use one cut file (Gift Trio Cut File), the "Holiday Magic" collection and Heather Lowercase Die Set.
For the structure we will need 3 pieces of cardboard of: 1- two pieces 6 1/2" w x 8 1/2" h, 2- one piece 2" w x 8 1/2" h. Choose two design papers from the Holiday Magic 12x12 Paper Pack to cover both covers and the spine of the structure. You will see I used the same paper for the spine and the back cover. Glue them together to form the structure.
To join the pages to the structure we will prepare a traditional 6 hinges spine for the mini album. Cut a piece of white cardstock of 11 1/2" w x 8" h. Score in 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 2 3/4", 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 4", 4 1/2", 5", 5 1/4", 5 3/4", 6 1/4", 6 1/2", 7", 7 1/2", 7 3/4", 8 1/4", 8 3/4", 9", 9 1/2", 10",. Assemble the spine and glue it to the spine. Also choose a ribbon to make the closure of the mini album and glue it on the inside. Remember to add the ribbons for the mini album closure before pasting the interior paper (in this case I used two different papers).
For the cover: I used Gift Trio Cut File. Remember you need to resized it. Also I decided to make a skaker with it, So I cut one piece in white cardstock, the outline in acetate and one piece in white foam. I decorated some shapes with glitter paper and for others I made shakers (I added background decorated paper ).
Other decorative details were: one tag from the Die Cut Tags Pack, some pieces from the Ephemera Pack, one piece of the Title Ephemera Pack.
For the spine: punch 1 hole 3/4" away from edge (top) and place an eyelet. I added some decorative details to it.
For the pages-interior: we are going to make classic pocket pages. Before making them, cut the 6 hinges of the spine in half (4" h) So we are going to we able to add 12 pocket pages. For the pocket pages we need 12 pieces of white cardstock of 6" w x 8 1/2" h. Score in 1/2", 4 1/2" (h) fold and assemble the pocket pages. To decorate the pocket pages we will use Holiday Magic 6x6 Paper Pack. Also one paper from de 12x12 paper pack (to make some cards for the pockets). You can punch the corners of the papers using a Crop a Dile or a corner punch (just if you like).
Once the pocket pages are ready... it's time to decorate them! I used the Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Frames, Die Cut Tags, Ephemera Pack, Title Ephemera, Puffy Stickers and Metallic Enamel Dots. I cut all the numbers using the Heather Lowercase Die Set and glitter paper. I must say that I LOVE this die set! It's amazing! ;)
You will see that I I used one side of each pocket page for one day of the month. And I used the back cover (interior) for December 25th.
Ready to document our entire Christmas?
I hope you like this idea! Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!
