Capturing Moments with the Celebrate Collection | Lauren Hender

Capturing Moments with the Celebrate Collection | Lauren Hender

Hello Everyone and a big welcome back to the Pink Fresh Studio blog. Today I am sharing a layout with you featuring my beautiful Mother using the new collaboration collection 'Celebrate'. This collection with it's soft dreamy tones and pretty florals is perfect for capturing memories of grandparents, great grandparents and more.

I began by using the beautiful stamp set called 'Just Because' to add some interest on my background. Although stamps don't give a physical layer to your layout they have a magical way of creating depth, and making it so your layout cluster feel connected to the cardstock you are creating your layout on.

I think this stamp set would have to be one of my favourites from the Pink Fresh Studio stamp collection. There is also another stamp set with a similar floral design and that set is called 'Take Pride'.

After I had completed my stamping I added some splatters of watered down white gesso. I only wanted tiny splatters so I used a tiny bristled brush to do it.

I then fussy cut lots of florals from the cardstock called 'Everyday Moments' this was a little time consuming but the results were well worth it as I ended up with a beautiful bunch of pretty flowers to go wild with, which it what I did.

I then triple mounted my photo using off cuts from the collection and some die cuts. Then using all the fussy cut florals and some die cuts I played around until I was happy with the flowers trickling diagonally down the layout.

I finished off adding some puffy alphabet stickers from the 'My Favourite Story' collection and some journalling and hearts using a uniball white pen.

I hope this layout has inspired you to document a memory of your mother or older generation loved one.

Happy Scrapping

Lauren xx
