Bright Idea Layout with Simple & Sweet
This summer my daughter is taking Social Studies in summer school to get a headstart on Grade 10 (still can't believe she is old enough for Grade 10!) By the third week both of us were tired of social every day and sort of hit the wall, the photo shows her studying during her snack break! The lovely lemons in Simple & Sweet by Pinkfresh Studio seemed super fitting for a make lemonade out of lemons type layout!
I started out the layout with a white background and used large alpha stamps for the background. I then began the hunt for all the lemons I could find in the collection, and I found a lot! The lemons are in the papers, die cuts, puffy stickers and chipboard. I fussy cut the lemons from the paper to layer on my page mixed in with the others I found.
I used a few of the stamps from the Let Your Heart Decide stamp set to jazz up the background even more. I stamped with yellow and black ink. Some of the stamps are stamped on cardstock and fussy cut for more dimension.
I finished off the page with a cute title. I was originally just going to use the "bright" puffy sticker on it's on and then it occurred to me I could make a longer title using it with the black alpha stickers! A few lemon color enamel dots added the perfect finishing touch to all the lemon layers!
