BOOK MINI FEAT. THE SIMPLE THINGS / KERSTIN SCHEIDLER

Hello everyone! Kerstin here today with a brandnew Mini Book inspiration. The day before yesterday I received the gorgeous new collection THE SIMPLE THINGS and of course I want to show you a project with it right away. I love mini books and want to fill a shelf with them this year. Here comes my first one! Let's get started!

Many amazing papers are in this collection BUT my favorite paper is the Feeling Inspired from the 12 x 12 The Simple Things Paper Pack. Both sides are beautiful, I couldn't decide!

I opted for the 5 x 8 inch size, with a spine of 1 1/2 inches. I made the back and spine out of my favorite paper. For the cover I decided to make the stripes with the matching stamp colors Lush Forest, Atlantis, Paradise, Eucalyptus and Sage. I also added The Simple Things Cardstock Stickers, The Simple Things Ephemera Pack and of course The Simple Things Puffy Stickers to decorate.

I made a small pocket on the inside to hold notes or photos. I decorated it with various The Simple Things Emphemera.

I made a kind of box on the right-hand side. The sides are 2 x 5 x 1 1/2 inches and 1 x 8 x 1 1/2 inches. I used thicker cardboard for this, which I covered with paper and glued together. In the middle I cut 5 x 10/ 7/8 inch cardstock and then folded at 3 1/2, 4 1/4, 5, 5 7/8, 6 5/8 and 7 3/8. I punched holes for the rings and placed the rings inside. That the rings are not so loose, I fixed them with a little bit hot glue.

I would like to fill this book with cards on which I record photos, memories or quotes. I've already prepared a few. To stick in or to write down - there are many ways to fill this book.

I really enjoyed making this mini book. Be sure to check out the new collection THE SIMPLE THINGS. It is a MUSTHAVE! I hope I was able to inspire you and I can't wait to see what you create from this fantastic collection.
See you next time! Kerstin xx
