Hello PFS friends! It's Susi back on the Pinkfresh Studio blog sharing a new scrapbook layout created with the lovely Days of Splendor collection.
Autumn is my favorite season, I love its colors, the leaves and its warmth, so this time I wanted to use the Fall in love patterned paper which has the collection color palette. I think those colored stripes are very versatile and can be used in many ways so I decided to cut them in my favorite colors.
I started creating my background on a thick white cardstock. For this I pulled out some inks cubes colors to match my strips of paper. I mixed the ink with water and painted stripes using a flat brush and I placed the strips of paper onto the cardstock once it was dry.
Next, I went through the embellihsments that matched the stripes of paper and found a lot of leaves to use. Also I fussy cut some elements from patterned papers so I arranged them using tone-on-tone technique. I have used a little foam adhesive to add some dimension.
To create the title I used the Mini Alphabet and Puffy Alphabet Sticker from the collection.
Finally, I ripped the cardstock on top and at the bottom of the page and backed these parts with pieces of paper and I added some thread using a stapler.
Some enamels dots and Jewels Mix give it the final touch.
And that's all. I hope it brings you some inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
