A 'Whaley' Cute Layout using Simple & Sweet! | Elsie Robinson
Hey PFS friends, it's Elsie here with a new layout using the Simple & Sweet collection!
But before we get into my latest layout, I thought I would mention two other projects I've created this month using the Simple & Sweet collection.
I created a new layout for the August Monthly Challenge, which closes tomorrow so make sure you enter before then!
And I also uploaded a process video onto the Pinkfresh YouTube channel, sharing how I created a Traveler's Notebook layout using the Simple & Sweet collection with several cute PFS stamp sets!
And now onto my latest layout!
I started with this adorable floral whale cut file. I cut the whale from some blue cardstock and the florals from white. I backed the whale's underbelly with the 'Happy Life' patterned paper and then hand-stitched around it to give a bit more definition.
To back the floral cut files, I did some mixed media work because I wanted a really zesty, lime green colour to back the leaves. But for the flowers I used scraps of the the 'Fresh Air' and 'Happy Life' papers.
To create my punny title, I used the mini puffy alpha stickers in black. And to balance the bold black title, I popped my photo into the black and white checked chipboard frame
And to finish the layout off I scattered some of the gold puffy heart stickers to give an extra bit of sparkle and shine!
Thanks for stopping by everyone, I hope you're inspired to create with the gorgeous Simple & Sweet collection! Happy crafting!
