A layout and a TN spread, featuring the Home for the Holidays collection

Hello Pinkfresh friends!  It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing a holiday layout and TN spread featuring the Home for the Holidays collection.

For my layout, I used one of the new cut files that coordinate with this collection.  The cut file I used is the gingerbread house, and will be available in the shop soon.

I cut the cutfile from white cardstock, and backed it with various pattern papers from the collection.  I also used the Morning Sky mini ink cube combo to do some ink blending on a piece of white cardstock to create my own pattern paper.

For my background, I created a hillside by machine stitching back and forth.  I masked that area off with some scratch paper, then added ink splatters.  (I smooshed some of the mini ink cubes onto my glass surface, and watered it down.)    I used some of the snowflake stamps from the Home for the Holidays stamp set with the same mini ink cubes.

I adhered the gingerbread house cut file with some foam tape, and then added my photos right on top.  Next, I added my title using the white puffy stickers in the collection.

Since my gingerbread house is so big, I added just a few more embellishments from this collection.  I added  a tree and presents to each side of the house, I added a wreath to the door, and hanging lights on the window, a little bird on the roof, and of course I added enamel dots.

I love how this little layout turned out.

I decided to do a TN spread next.  I have a Traveler's Notebook that I use to create some spread of my favorite photos.  It's not in any particular order, just some of my favorite memories.  Whenever I look through this TN, I can't help but smile.  I hadn't done a holiday spread in it yet, so I chose one of my favorite photos from Christmas Eve last year.

On one side of the TN spread, I filled the entire page with my favorite pattern paper from the Home for the Holidays collection called Advent Love.  I have been obsessed with tags lately (I recently made a layout filled with tags for the ink pad blog hop), so I decided to make one for this spread.

Joy is one of my favorite holiday words, so I wanted it to be the focal point on this tag.  I used the Kelly lower case alpha dies, and diecutt the joy once from red cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.  Once cut, I glued them on top of each other to create my own chipboard letters.  I hand cut a tag from white cardstock.  I punched a whole, and then adhered a gold glitter hole reinforcer that I made using another punch.  The "peace, love, and" sentiment is from the Merry Days stamp set, and I stamped it using storm ink.  I adhered the joy diecut letters.  to give the tag some texture, I added a little bit of machine stitching, and some enamel dots.

For the other side of the TN spread, I adhered my photo to a piece of pattern paper, and then adhered it to the left page.  I stamped the "in the magic of the season" sentiment (from the same Merry Days stamp set) as well as the date.  I added a few more stamped snowflakes (from the Home for the Holidays stamp set that I used on my layout) with sky blue ink.  I added a few trees that I fussy cut from the pattern paper called Merry & Bright, as well as a few cardstock ephemera pieces, like the presents, twinkle tab, and snowflake.  I finished off this side of the spread with a few more enamel dots.

I really hope you like the way my projects turned out.  I especially love the TN spread.  I hope you check out the Pinkfresh Studio Home for the Holidays collections...it's perfect for holiday crafting!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a happy day!
